Owners of Maric Park Bed & Breakfast, Marion and Eric McCulloch, originally bought their land in 2000 but it wasn’t until 2010 that they were ready to build their dream of a peaceful and tranquil B&B. In between the original purchase of the land and this decision Marion and Eric owned Grapevines for four and a half years, then purchased and ran Stanthorpe Sports and Camping for another couple of years. They had plans for travelling around Australia but when Eric was offered a job in Brisbane they moved there for a while and it was there in 2010 that they decided that it was time to settle down and retire on their beautiful piece of land just outside of Stanthorpe on Reilly Road.

Once the decision was made it was time to start planning their own house and two one-bedroom cottages. The luxurious cottages have been designed for couples who want a romantic weekend away or just somewhere peaceful and tranquil to relax and enjoy the Granite Belt’s magnificent surroundings and the changing seasons especially the winter months. Each cottage has been fitted out with quality fixtures and fittings. Inside each cottage is fully self contained with the all important wood fire so that visitors can enjoy our winters, a large screen TV (Eric and Marion have a beautiful home theatre for use as well) and a very comfortable leather sofa with chaise. A fully screened deck has also been attached so that visitors can sit and watch the magnificent sunsets that the Granite Belt can organise.

Maric Park B&B guests can use their time away to simply soak in the peace and tranquillity or they can use the cottages as a base to explore the countryside and sample the varied, seasonal and quality local produce and wines. A walking track has been built to take guests up through the bush to the back of the property from where you can look back into the Stanthorpe township. A beautiful place for replenishing your energy!
